Dom McAllister Releases Vulnerable Slow Jam ‘Prospects’

By Lucy LernerAugust 9, 2018

‘Prospects’ is the gorgeous song by 22-year-old Londoner Dom McAllister. With rich songwriting and a lush RnB soundscape, it is certainly one you will have on repeat. McAllister made waves with previous releases ‘In Time’, ‘Walking’ and ‘Only One’ which entered the Top 10 US and UK Spotify Viral Charts and gained over 1.3M streams.

With a slinky, soulful edge, ‘Prospects’ is about a relationship and the feeling of being used and having no respect towards another. The song ends abruptly and you get the feeling there is unfinished business and a future song might reflect the same subject matter. There is a sentimental and vulnerable tone to the lyrics as McAllister croons,

“might have to readjust your prospects, you know my body’s not an object, your place or mine, I’ll clean up this time”

Whatever he does next Dom McAllister has perfected the art of the effortless slow jam.
