Plàsi Father’s Eyes: A Reflective Folk Meditation on Inherited Distance

Plàsi Father’s Eyes: A Reflective Folk Meditation on Inherited Distance

Plàsi’s new single Father’s Eyes opens with a subdued tension masked in warmth.

The Greco-Swedish artist blends layered acoustic guitars with Mediterranean-inflected percussion and analog synth flourishes, creating a sound that feels quietly expansive.

The arrangement is progressive—each element introduced with care, evolving like a conversation that takes its time to unfold.

His voice moves with purpose. There’s a conversational tone to the delivery, not flat but intentional.

“You run away, but it looks like you,” he sings, capturing the subtle cruelty of recognising yourself in someone you’ve tried not to become.

The track is part of Camino, a new EP exploring personal fault lines.

“It’s about the toxic relationship we can have with our parents,” Plàsi says. “We don’t want to see or learn from our similarities… Maybe we can learn from one another instead of focusing on our differences.”

There’s a vintage feel woven through the folk textures—introspective without being inert, melodic without gloss.

Camino is out now.

Plàsi Father’s Eyes Lyrics

Look into your father’s eyes, you know
There is something in them with no surprise, mhm
Deeper as you would go, it fades too soon
You run away but it looks like you, mhm
You run away but it looks like you

Look into your father’s eyes, it’s true
There is something in them that binds like ice to you
Shallow as you would go, you’ll find the clue
Walking back and still looks like you, mhm
Now you’re walking back and still looks like you

Older as we grow, the more we think we know
There are answers I could have learned from you
Re-inventing truths, roads you always knew
There are things in you that I feel too

Look into your father’s eyes, you know
There is more to it than the very start to show
Higher as you would fly, the less you’ll see
Now you’re falling back, don’t know what to feel, mhm
Now you’re falling back, don’t know what to feel

That I feel, that I feel in you
That I feel, that I feel in you
That I feel, that I feel in you
That I feel, that I feel in you

Older as we grow, the more we think we know
There are answers I could have learned from you
Re-inventing truths, roads you always knew
There are things in you that I feel too
There are things in you that I feel too
