Four-piece indie-rock group Alibi returns with their latest musical offering, ‘Place Your Bets.’ Following the release of their 2017 single ‘Space, Man’ and their EP ‘Animal Zone’ earlier this year, the Hastings quartet has hit the mark once again with their next installment of energetic alt-rock.

2018 has been a successful year for Alibi so far; a string of gigs around England’s south-east, airtime on ‘BBC: Introducing the South’, an EP, appearances at the TN32 Festival, the City Sound Project, and the Woodlands Festival UK, as well an upcoming performance at Kendal Calling Festival this July. Similarly, their brand new single ‘Place Your Bets’ has racked up over 13,000 Facebook views since its June 30th release. “We’re so so proud of this and we think it’s our best work to date,” the group announced on their Facebook page last month. And proud they should be: ‘Place Your Bets’ is dynamic, raw, and arguably some of their best musicianship to date.

Similar to their previous work, Alibi continues to strike an appealing balance between a contemporary, indie sound, while maintaining a close relationship to more generic rock formats, reminiscent of their various and diverse influences. As the band previously noted, “We have such a wide love of music…we don’t really know what genre we are. We like the listeners to decide that for themselves.” Citing inspiration from The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, and The Smiths, ‘Place Your Bets’ continues Alibi’s streak of producing inclusive, familiar rock with wide-ranging appeal, but with a multi-faceted twist that echoes strains of multiple genres. Heavy and high-powered, ‘Place Your Bets’ is a well-rounded example of their contemporary UK sound, reaching a new high in their rapid succession of achievements as an emerging band.

Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered at The Ranch Production House, ‘Place Your Bets’ also features a music video filmed at the Blackmarket with videography by Josh Glavin. With its rising number of views, ‘Place Your Bets’ seems to have struck a chord with Alibi’s ever-increasing fanbase.
