Montreal-based band Druidess are stepping into their most fully realized era yet with their new album All You Are, a project that feels less like a release and more like a statement.
From the first track, it is clear this is not an album built for casual listening. It asks to be sat with, absorbed, and lived inside. There is a rawness to it that feels deliberate, like the band is letting listeners eavesdrop on moments that were never meant to be polished or softened.
All You Are does not follow a neat storyline or central theme, and that is exactly what makes it work.
“Our latest album All You Are is meant to encapsulate the full spectrum of human consciousness and emotion,” says Druidess. “It doesn’t have one particular theme, it’s just about being who you are and the many stories that come along with life.”
The album moves through emotional extremes without warning, shifting from melodic reflection to abrasive intensity and back again.
Some moments feel intimate and fragile, others feel explosive. Rather than trying to tidy those contrasts into something easily digestible, Druidess lean into the disorder. It mirrors real life in that way. Emotional, conflicting and constantly in motion.
There is a noticeable depth behind the sound. You can hear pieces of grunge, metal, and shoegaze woven into the tracks, but none of it feels referential in a lazy way.
Instead, it blends into something that feels instinctual, as if the band is channeling everything they have ever loved about music into one body of work. Their influences are there if you listen closely, but what stands out most is how personal the record feels.
The group, made up of Beiss, Vera, Valenstine, and Lennox, also bring a strong visual and spiritual identity into the album.
There is an undercurrent of mysticism throughout the project that adds another layer to the listening experience. It does not feel performative or forced, but more like a quiet language the band speaks fluently.
All You Are is not music designed to sit in the background. It is meant to be felt first and understood later.
With this album, Druidess proves they are not here to blend in. They are here to create something that actually leaves a mark.
