Abel Miller

Abel MillerHaving strong following and foundation with singles such as ‘My Life’, ‘Light Up’, ‘Lonely’ and ‘No Gentleman’, Abel Miller wants to take us to his private island with his new EP. It certainly does feature tracks which would be appropriate listening if you were to find yourself on a luxury island.

‘Private Island’ features 6 tracks which are infused with the complexity, depth, and passion that comes with RnB, whilst adding his own modern twist.

‘Ride For Me’ is the first track to be released from the EP. Abel wears his heart on his sleeve and talks about his appreciation for his partner (“Baby, I salute you“) even when his behaviour is less than perfect. The vocals are smooth and the sound is soulful, which continues throughout the EP.

‘Birthday’ is an upbeat track, which has all the flavours of RnB but carries a modern twist.
‘Chasing Rain’ is a track has a more chilled out afro-fusion vibe and features Sona. The track was produced by The Writers Block and the beats are great on this.
‘Keeper’ has mesmerising melodies and demonstrates a certain maturity as the artist has grown. It also demonstrates Abel’s ability to work with different styles. It isn’t like any other track on the EP, in the sense that is quite a slow song, but the beats have a slightly upbeat feel at the same time.

Abel Miller has received support from BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Ace and BBC Asian Network’s Preeya Khalidas. He has also collaborated with artists: K Koke, Nash, Loick Essien, Cashh and Paigey Cakey, as well as releasing three mixtapes ‘Make You Love Me’, ‘A Million’ and ‘Est 1991’.

Abel Miller’s ‘Private Island’ EP is out now.
