UK Country Star Vic Allen Releases ‘Blinded’

By Emma ReynoldsAugust 16, 2018

Country singer Vic Allen has just released her brand-new single ‘Blinded’ and we were so ready for it! Following her fan-funded EP ‘Between The Lines’ that was released earlier this year, Allen recently signed with the independent record label GingerDog.

Vic Allen has climbed the music ladder since 2016 when she independently released her self-written debut ‘The Missing Piece’. As time has gone by, she has performed at a wide variety of venues and festivals including Buckle and Boots Festival, FSA Fest and ‘Write Like A Girl’, and has been played on BBC Radio.

Nashville is where some of the great country singers have come from and Allen has felt her own influence from the state while on her travels that is often reminiscent through her music and songwriting. Ian McConnell helped Allen write ‘Blinded’ in Nashville too.

New single ‘Blinded’ is a rather beautiful and twinkly country song. It reminds me of some of the modern country artists such as Taylor Swift who have now turned their hand at more mainstream pop work. Allen has a lot of potential in her and this song is a lovely one that reminds you of hazy summer days – perfect in this hot heat we’ve seen as of late and ideal for holiday playlists.

‘Blinded’ is Vic Allen’s first release with a record label, and she will be spending more time in the studio throughout the rest of the year to finish up what will be her debut album.
