Stray Kids return with “Do It”, the title track from the latest chapter of their SKZ IT TAPE series, and honestly?
The boys have switched lanes in the best way possible. After dominating 2025 with their seventh Billboard 200 number one, the octet trades their usual noise music aggression for something decidedly more chill.
This one’s giving major summer festival vibes wrapped in a reggaeton-infused package.
The track opens with Han and Changbin firing off the first lines before melting into a Latin-tinged groove that feels miles away from the bombastic energy of “Chk Chk Boom”.
In the comeback rollout, Changbin called this one “a more mature” take on the reggaeton lane, and he’s spot on.
The production, led by 3RACHA with their usual collaborators, leans into smooth rhythms and infectious melodies rather than the experimental bass drops we’ve come to expect from SKZ.
What makes “Do It” particularly addictive is its deceptively simple hook. The “na-na-na” refrain burrows into your brain whilst the funky bassline keeps your head nodding.
Felix’s deep vocals anchor the chorus with that iconic tone STAYs love, whilst Seungmin and I.N bring brightness to the pre-chorus sections.
The bilingual lyrics switch effortlessly between Korean and English, delivering a straightforward message: stop overthinking and just take action.
Han’s opening verse sets the tone perfectly, rapping about pushing forward without looking back.
The members trade verses about trusting instincts and living in the moment, with lines like “Feel the rhythm of our bodies moving, baby” bringing smooth, confident energy. There’s no complicated metaphors here, just pure confidence wrapped in a bop.
The bridge shifts gears brilliantly, with Hyunjin, Han and I.N calling out hesitation before the final chorus explodes with renewed energy.
Bang Chan and Lee Know’s vocals shine throughout, proving the group’s versatility extends beyond their usual hard-hitting sound.
Production-wise, “Do It” sits comfortably in mainstream K-pop territory whilst maintaining SKZ’s distinct flavour.
The reggaeton beat keeps things bouncy without overwhelming the vocal performances, and the instrumental knows when to step back. It’s not trying to be the loudest song in the room, and that restraint works beautifully.
The accompanying music video transforms the track’s carefree message into a cinematic experience.
Opening with a dystopian cityscape ravaged by thunder and ominous black birds, the visual establishes an eerie atmosphere before Changbin descends on a motorised broomstick straight out of a fantasy film.
The eight members, dressed in sleek black ensembles with cowboy hats, find themselves in a crumbling structure surrounded by masked figures frozen in white robes.
What makes the MV particularly striking is its colour transformation. The stark black-and-white palette gradually explodes into vibrant technicolour as the group’s performance brings the static figures to life.
The choreography blends sharp group formations with those signature SKZ body rolls, and the use of lighting creates moments where dancers appear to freeze mid-movement before snapping back into action.
Billboard even highlighted the Harry-Potter-like magic in the video, which genuinely elevates the visual storytelling.
The finale brings fireworks and confetti alongside an all-hands-on-deck dance break that’s pure spectacle.
STAYs have already pushed the music video past 22 million views, giving the group their biggest first-day premiere so far.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or a casual listener, “Do It” proves Stray Kids can absolutely nail a laid-back banger without losing their edge.
