Laci Kaye Booth’s Brutal Honesty Shines in ‘I’m In Love with a Man’

Laci Kaye Booth's Brutal Honesty Shines in 'I'm In Love with a Man'

Texas-born singer-songwriter Laci Kaye Booth drops a devastating truth bomb with her latest single “I’m In Love with a Man,” released 5th December via Geffen Records. The track plays like a romantic dream sequence before pulling the rug out from under you.

Booth paints the picture of her ideal partner: attentive, faithful, buying daisies every Valentine’s. But the chorus delivers the gut-punch reveal when she admits, “I’m in love with a man / You’ll never be.” This isn’t your typical country heartbreak anthem; it’s a psychological thriller disguised as a love song.

The Nashville-based artist co-wrote the track with Tofer Brown (Little Big Town, Jon Pardi) and Lauren Hungate (Bailey Zimmerman) during a particularly charged creative session. Producer Ben West, who helmed Booth’s debut album The Loneliest Girl In The World, crafts a stripped-back sonic landscape that lets her vocals breathe.

The arrangement feels intimate, almost confessional, as acoustic guitar and subtle production elements create space for the lyrical devastation.

“I played this song at the Bluebird the same week that I wrote it,” Booth reveals. “I knew from the energy and reaction alone that this was a song people needed as much as I needed to write it.”

The accompanying visualiser, directed by Natalie Sakstrup (Zayn, Kylie Minogue), channels vintage aesthetics that mirror the song’s timeless emotional territory.

Booth reunites with Parker McCollum for three Florida dates in March 2026 (Estero’s Hertz Arena on 26th March, St. Augustine Amphitheatre 27th and 28th March). She’ll also perform at Extra Innings Festival (28th February), Two Step Inn (19th April), and Railbird Music Festival (26th June).

Billboard praised Booth as an artist “who pulls no punches and refuses to water down her sound or her message.” This latest release proves them right.
