Khantrast “You The One” Review: Drill Meets Devotion

By Alex HarrisDecember 12, 2025
Khantrast "You The One" Review: Drill Meets Devotion

Khantrast trades his usual diabolical energy for something surprisingly tender on “You The One”, a Christmas offering that proves Brooklyn’s drill provocateur has romance in his arsenal.

Clocking in at a brisk 2:07, the track rides a crisp jersey drill beat whilst Khantrast delivers bars dripping with devotion.

This is pure acceptance rendered in razor-sharp flows. He champions his partner’s authenticity over societal expectations, dismissing judgement with characteristic bluntness.

Lines about loving someone “flawless” yet acknowledging they’re a “diamond in the rough” capture that beautiful contradiction of seeing perfection in imperfection.

The production remains hard-edged, refusing to soften into saccharine territory, which makes the vulnerability hit harder.

Natakilz’s accompanying video leans into festive playfulness with suited-up Khantrast surrounded by puppets, a delightfully absurd visual that mirrors the track’s unexpected sweetness.

It’s refreshing to hear him channel intensity into tenderness rather than aggression, proving his versatility extends beyond anime freestyles and street anthems.

“You The One” won’t replace Mariah Carey on holiday playlists, but it offers something rarer: a Christmas track that feels genuinely human, rough edges intact.
