ILLIT Makes Magnetic Debut With Pluggnb/House Hybrid Title Track

Following the immense success of boyband ENHYPEN, HYBE’s Belift Lab is at it again, introducing the world to their latest K-pop girl group, ILLIT. ILLIT’s debut mini-album, titled “Super Real Me,” dropped on March 25, 2024, with Magnetic as its powerful title track.

Infectious Lead Single

Magnetic instantly pulls listeners in with its dynamic fusion of pluggnb and house sounds. The buoyant melody and fresh, youthful vibe inject a pleasant burst of lightweight pop sweetness into the K-pop landscape. Beautiful arpeggio synths layered over powerful rhythmic basslines drive the track, providing the perfect backdrop for ILLIT’s lively vocal performance. The lyrics portray the irresistible attraction one feels towards their love interest, comparing it to an actual magnetic force.

This time I want you, you, you, you, like it’s magnetic / You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you super attractive,” they declare on the ultra-catchy chorus.

The girls of ILLIT sing, their voices brimming with confidence and innocent desire. This breezy, mood-driven sound could serve ILLIT well in the streaming era, where vibe and atmosphere reign supreme.

All-Star Songwriter and Producer Lineup

The credits for Magnetic read like a who’s-who of the top writers and producers in K-pop today. Esteemed hitmakers Slow Rabbit, Bang Si-hyuk, and Martin produced it. The music video closes by flashing the words “Summer Moon,” potentially teasing the name of a future release from ILLIT.
