Black Clover Series 5 Release Date: Why 2025 Finally Looks Promising

When is Black Clover returning?

That’s the question that’s kept fans restless since 2021.

If you’ve been frantically searching “Black Clover series 5 release date” every other day (don’t worry, we’re not judging), 2025 might finally bring some good news.

Even Asta’s endless cries of “never giving up” pale in comparison to our collective wait for this new series.

When is Black Clover Anime Returning? The Story So Far

We get it – being a Black Clover fan lately feels like being stuck during one of Yami’s endless toilet breaks.

It’s been nearly four years since episode 170 dropped like a bombshell, leaving us all hanging at one of the manga’s most pivotal moments.

Studio Pierrot essentially pulled a Captain Yami – vanishing just as things got interesting.

But, unlike our bathroom-loving captain, they had a solid reason.

The anime was catching up to Yūki Tabata’s manga faster than Magna chasing after troublemakers.

Rather than subjecting us to filler episodes (we’ve all endured enough of those in other anime, thank you very much), they decided to take a pause.

Here’s where things get exciting. Studio Pierrot has announced they’ll reveal their 2025 lineup at Anime Japan this March.

Studio Pierrot will introduce the lineup of the works from 2025 onwars as well anniversary works‼️

Why does this matter for Black Clover’s return?

Well, they’re wrapping up Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War this year, and we all know what that means – they’ll need a new flagship series to focus on.

And here’s the clincher – the manga has been quietly amassing content.

We’re talking 97 new chapters since the anime’s hiatus. That’s more material than Charmy has food stashed in her cotton sheep!

When Will Black Clover Return? Manga Progress Updates

Speaking of the manga, 2024 brought changes that might actually work in our favour.

Tabata switched from weekly chapters to quarterly releases – essentially swapping sprint mode for marathon pace.

Fewer chapters per year, yes, but it also means he stays healthy and delivers top-quality content. No one wants their favourite creator overworked, right?

The slower pace has, in fact, been a blessing in disguise for the new Black Clover series.

Studio Pierrot now has the time to plan a proper adaptation that does justice to these epic battles.

Black Clover New Episodes: What to Expect

When Black Clover returns (not if – we’re staying optimistic), we’ll be diving straight into the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc.

Without giving too much away, let’s just say it makes previous battles look like Magic Knight entrance exams.

Expect Dark Triad action intense enough to make you spill your popcorn.

The upcoming series needs to cover around 100 manga chapters, so we’re in for a treat.

Imagine Asta and Liebe’s anti-magic duo, Noelle’s power-ups that would make any royal proud, and enough plot twists to rival Captain Vangeance’s World Tree Magic.

Black Clover Series 5 Release Date Predictions

Here’s the tea – all signs point to late 2025 for Black Clover series 5. Studio Pierrot is playing it smart.

Rather than rushing out half-baked episodes or drowning us in filler (looking at you, Naruto), they’re taking their time to get it right.

The March 2025 Anime Japan announcement is coming from the main studio, not the spin-off division that handles shorter series.

That’s basically code for “we’re planning something big.” And with Bleach wrapping up, the timing couldn’t be better for Black Clover’s return.

Why The Wait Might Actually Be Worth It

Yes, waiting for the new Black Clover series has been about as fun as getting caught in one of Noelle’s early water spells.

But when it returns, we’ll get the story done properly. No more anime chasing the manga like Asta chasing Sister Lily – just pure, uninterrupted magical mayhem.

Until Then…

If you’re experiencing severe Asta withdrawal, you can binge the first series on Netflix or watch all four series on Crunchyroll.

And maybe use this time to perfect your Asta scream impression – your neighbours will surely appreciate that.

Keep your grimoires ready, fellow Magic Knights. 2025 might finally be our year.

And if my predictions for Black Clover’s return are off – well, blame it on anti-magic or something.
