Arliston's How In Heaven Transcends Genre With Hauntingly Beautiful Soundscapes And Poetic Storytelli

Indie-pop duo Arliston’s latest single, How in Heaven, is an ethereal piece of music that transcends genre. The song transports listeners to a dreamlike state of introspection and contemplation with its transcendent electronic textures and hypnotic percussion patterns.

Vocalist Jack’s soulful and hazy vocals weave a compelling narrative of regret and self-reflection, as he muses on the timeless theme of, “you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.” And the chorus line, “How in heaven did I walk over you?” is an emotional gut-punch that encapsulates the song’s heart-wrenching message.

The lyrics are a masterclass in poetic storytelling, as Jack seamlessly shifts between personal anecdotes and universal truths. The verse, “I can tie shoes on my own,” is a poignant reminder of the importance of independence and self-determination, but it is ultimately overshadowed by the realization that the person he left behind was the one he truly needed.

In short, How in Heaven is a triumph of lo-fi indie music that will leave you emotionally shaken and spiritually stirred. It’s a tantalizing taste of what’s to come from Arliston’s upcoming EP.
