The Kid LAROI HOT GIRL PROBLEMS Lyrics: Is This a Breakup Clapback or a Satire of Internet Fame?

It’s officially Laroi summer with Hot Girl Problems, but don’t expect sunshine and nostalgia.

This is a breakup anthem wrapped in designer shades and passive-aggressive applause.

Released on July 25, 2025, and produced by Devin Workman, who shaped XXXTentacion’s Sad! into a minimalist heartbreak weapon.

The track ditches LAROI’s usual emo-rap edge for a sleek, detached flex.

It’s a sonic eye-roll aimed at a woman who treats love like a seasonal pop-up: “She live in L.A., Miami and New York / ‘Cause her phone is the only place she work.”

The song dropped amid confirmed rumours of LAROI’s split with Tate McRae.

Unlike vague celebrity denials, LAROI addressed it head-on, leaking a text screenshot on X (Twitter): “Tate and I are on good terms and this just looks messy.”

The texts were a clapback against “slander tweets,” but the internet had already ran wild.

Hot Girl Problems sketches a jet-setting archetype: all yachts and no attachments.

The chorus, “Love can’t keep her / She makes sure you see her” could read as bitter, but LAROI’s delivery leans into complicity. He’s not crying; he’s arching an eyebrow.

What starts as a flex morphs into something blurrier. When he sings, “Tell me that you don’t believe in love, you ain’t never seen it work,” it doesn’t come off bitter.

It sounds like someone who’s already packed the suitcase and left the key on the table.

The music video, starring Love Island’s Hannah Fields and Iris Kendall, turns subtext into spectacle.

Reality TV’s favourite “hot girls” play themselves, smizing for cameras, sipping champagne, and embodying the song’s critique of performative romance.

What’s interesting is how LAROI never fully removes himself from the game. He’s present, complicit, and possibly even enjoying it.

On Reddit, fans are debating whether LAROI is mocking influencer culture or getting pulled into it.

And with Love Island stars front and centre in the video, it’s clear this is bound to get the net talking.

The ‘hot girl’ trope isn’t new (see: Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer), but LAROI flips it into a cautionary tale for the influencer age.

Where Megan celebrated carefree confidence, Hot Girl Problems exposes the emotional toll of a life curated for likes where connections are as disposable as the next DM.

Even fans admit it’s a departure. Compared to June’s How Does It Feel, a song about longing, Hot Girl Problems is a smirk. Less “I miss you”, more “I see your new pics, and wow.”

LAROI isn’t just mocking “hot girl summer”; he’s using it. The track drops as influencers dominate culture, and the video’s meta-casting proves he knows the game.

Whether it’s satire or self-own depends on how deep you wanna read, but the streams (and the drama) don’t lie.
