Will White Drops Indie-Pop Gem ‘Out Of Nowhere’

Will White Drops Indie-Pop Gem 'Out Of Nowhere'

Will White’s (formerly of The Maccabees and 86TVs) new single, ‘Out of Nowhere,’ dropped on 12 November 2025, and it lives up to its name.

It follows September’s Neanderthals and it feels like a quiet, sudden shift in the room.

‘Out of Nowhere’ is a brooding piece of indie-pop that nails the specific feeling of your routine being beautifully disrupted by a new person.

White’s great trick here is refusing to get sentimental; his vocal is hushed but self-assured, floating over a soundscape of guitars that shimmer and fade, synths that hum underneath like distant traffic.

It’s a patient song, building atmosphere rather than chasing hooks. White said the track came to him quickly, noting, ‘If it survives [living with it], I feel like it’s ready to be out in the world.’

Don’t forget to subscribe to Neon Music for more in-depth music reviews and hidden indie gems.

That careful, instinctive approach makes sense when you hear it, ‘Out of Nowhere’ shows an artist focused on tone and timing rather than spectacle.

White’s currently running a creative residency at Ron’s Café in Peckham, where this kind of understated craft seems right at home.
