The ambient tones on Jules Gabriel’s PAPILLON are sweet and poignant. The song carefully unfolds as the lo-fi guitars mixed with the falsetto take you on an irresistible journey of sound. There are few lyrics on the song, and the intertwining of the vocals on the instrumentals makes it barely noticeable. The vocals are breathy and low carrying an intensity I can only describe as poignant. However, the melody on Papillon is also sweet and infectious, and you keep asking for more.
PAPILLON is Jules Gabriel’s first release and solo project this year.
