‘Young Pop God’ MAX Live At Bush Hall, London

By Lewis McNairJuly 29, 2019
MAX

MAXMAX needs to relax into his new role as a rock star, sack his stylist, and keep writing hit records.

This high energy set in London comes off the back of 21 dates across the US last year. MAX was able to very easily combine a real mix of bad-boy pop star trying to behave himself, and New York swag.

Having paid his dues and worked in the industry for some times. MAX has a CV that reads acting credits on nickelodeon and starring alongside international superstar Ariana Grande on Broadway, appearing in high fashion campaigns with Madonna and touring with Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa.

Having just released new single ‘Acid Dreams’ which follows ‘Love Me Less’ ft QUINN XCII, plus a 2018 collaboration with Noah Cyrus, this kid is having a great 2019, with GQ dubbing him a ‘Young pop god’.  MAX’s last single achieved multi-platinum status worldwide crossing over 500 million streams. The song held the #1 spot on Billboard’s Adult Pop Radio chart and stormed the top 20 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The track even reached television airwaves, as MAX brought a memorable, stripped-down rendition of ‘Lights Down Low’ to The Late Late Show with James Corden.

His London stage show could have been a bit tighter with less repetitive, improvised choreography. However, MAX kept a young fan base engaged in a strong hour-long set with James Brown twirls and powerful vocals.

MAX starts his next string of dates with a sold-out show August 4th at the Schubas Tavern in Chicago. He then goes on to play dates across the US, Mexico, and Canada through till November. You can find out more.

Here’s looking forward to a return to Europe soon!
