Yes Please Releases Playful New Single ‘Half Nelson’

By Lucy LernerFebruary 25, 2020

Yes Please‘Half Nelson’ is the new smooth groove from duo Yes Please taken from their upcoming project ‘Updog’. With several apple music playlist placements and a Zane Lowe world premiere last month, the new single has a mellow, playful vibe with sonic intricacies and a solid beat.

‘Half Nelson’ is about someone who you thought you understood but then they start acting differently and it’s like something has shifted to make you re-think the situation.

“She don’t wanna date me but she’ll tell you I’m the man
That’s my lil baby she fit perfect in my hand
Buy her what she want I just got her a new bag
So far gone I take good care the best she ever had”

Yes Please is singer and producer duo Matt Miggz and apob. They started making music at the age of 10 having grown up on the same street. Matt began photographing artists including Travis Scott, Mike Dean, Wiz Khalifa, Brent Faiyaz, and Benny Blanco. While apob was honing his beat-making skills; working with artists and producers such as Young Roddy, Ye Ali, Travis Scott, Ro Ransom, Neenyo, and 9th Wonder. Yes Please was formed in 2019 and they have released quite a few singles since then and been considered ‘Ones to Watch’ and featured on Ebro and Zane Lowe as well as many other tastemakers.

We say Yes Please to more from this dynamic duo.
