WESTERN STARS BY JACKSONPORT IS WARM AND FUZZY

By Marcus AdetolaMarch 21, 2020
WESTERN STARS BY JACKSONPORT IS WARM AND FUZZY

Western Stars by Jacksonport is warm and fuzzy and sure to keep away the cold in the world. Jacksonport serves up beautiful lyrics that are sincere and inspiring on lush acoustics. Although it feels like a love song, it isn’t. Jacksonport wrote Western Stars for his brother, and while that is the intention, it is a lot more than that. You can interpret it to be what you want it to be.

“We’re two little lights- Western Stars,
burning bright, we guide the night.
The whole world’s dark, it’s a little bit cold out here…
but the sky’s so clear- I can see alright.”

I know when I listen to it even as I relate it to what’s going on in the world today, I get a warm and fuzzy feeling. He is releasing a song every month this year, and Western Stars is the third single.

The synth playing is all by J3P0 and banjo by Taylor Ashton. Backing vocals are by Hannah Read and David Moss (The Brother Brothers).
