Slothrust is a Los Angeles -based Grunge Rock act fronted by the dynamic Singer/ Guitarist Leah Wellbaum who is joined by Drummer Will Gorin and Bassist Kyle Bann.
They recently announced the release of their forthcoming album ‘The Pact’ via Dangerbird Records and ‘Peach’ is the first track off the album.
Slothrust is a band that creates bizarre and wonderful music complete with offbeat rhythm structures and discordant vocals that share similarities to the Nineties’ sounds of Grunge acts like the clearly influential Nirvana and The Smashing Pumpkins.
The track begins with a jarring riff that is as groovy as it drifts effortlessly into the opening verse, which blends the hazy vocals of Welbaum with inventive wordplay and innovative guitar effects.
Slothrust constructs catchy and intelligent riffs coupled with eccentric lyrics that could see them discovering a new fanbase.
