Slink Into Paradise With The Melancholic New Single From Emma McGrath

Slink Into Paradise With The Melancholic New Single From Emma McGrath

Slink into Paradise with the melancholic new single from Emma McGrath. It is a delicate yet climatic ballad with sobering and relatable qualities. Emma’s vocals settle on the emotional instrumentals with gusto, echoing the feeling of a good situation not lasting. The lyrics convey an intense vulnerability knowing what she wants but with a palpable fear of the certainty of a predestined outcome based on her past actions.

“I think I developed this mindset where music always got in the way of my friendships. I’d always miss birthday parties or other random stuff and over time I’d slowly lose touch with people. So I guess this song is about finding someone you love, but being scared of it not working and always assuming you know how it will end. Maybe it’s a kind of protection.” – Emma McGrath

Paradise is featured on Emma McGrath’s new EP Settled In Motion (Silent Minds Pt. 3) via Young Poet Records. It is worth a listen to.
