If you like your music sticky toffee rich, dark, and sultry then look no further than Elias Boussnina whose debut EP ‘Shameboy’ is out today via Universal Music Denmark. It is an intimate and vulnerable representation of emotions we can experience during a relationship. Elias is very expressive through his smooth flowing lyrics and the crisp, fresh production adds a textured edge along with magnetic R&B hooks and dreamy synths.

Elias seems to have emerged a fully fledged R&B star. An artist of Danish-Tunisian descent, Elias speaks English, Danish, Arab and French. He grew up listening to hip-hop and American soul, and you might have heard of him before under the moniker of Yung Coke where he found success in 2015 as a rap artist.

For this latest project ‘Shameboy’, Elias has worked with a collection of respected producers, including Louis Winding (Nelly, Brandy, Outlandish) for his latest single ‘Bring The Pain’ Feat. UnoTheActivist, and Pitchshifters (Chris Brown, Jada Kiss, Wale, Future) for lead single ’13th floor’.

Elias said “‘Shameboy’ is a collection of songs that explores the intense and varying emotions we travel through in a relationship. It’s about falling in love, temptation, and sometimes not knowing when to stop or let something go.

The EP includes lead single ’13th floor’ featuring Lil Halima also out today. Elias explains, “this song centres around the feeling of being in deep water, losing control, and dreaming of living in a world where you don’t have to deal with the consequences of your actions.” He comments on the collaboration with Norwegian-Kenyan rising star Lil Halima “When I originally wrote 13th floor, it felt like something was missing. Then I heard Lil Halima’s voice for the first time.

We felt like something was missing from our lives until we heard ‘Shameboy’ and it’s a must for your weekend playlist.
