RnB Star Leah McFall Shines With New Music Releases

By Lucy LernerMarch 6, 2019
Leah McFall

Leah McFallI remember being transfixed by Belfast singer-songwriter Leah McFall in The Voice UK in 2013 and rooting for her to win. She was runner up and spent time touring with Will.i.am and Jessie J afterward. After her major label deal ended she started releasing music as an independent artist. Her first EP was followed up with a successful sell-out UK tour.

‘White X’ is the title track of Leah’s second independent EP and is a triumph. You want melodic RnB and moody vibes with sensual vocals – you’ve got it. The music video shows talented dancers in a purple haze, their movements reflecting each brooding beat.

More recent single ‘Marriage’ layers Leah’s distinctive sultry vocals with a seductive rap-tinged, RnB soundscape. The piano solo halfway through the song is particularly beautiful and Leah impressive vocal range soars over the top – she is reminiscent of Mariah Carey circa mid-’90s.

Leah McFall is one talented artist and if anything she has impressed me more with each passing year and music release.

Catch Leah on her UK tour from 10 – 12th April where she will perform in 3 major UK cities, London, Birmingham, and Manchester. Find out more and book tickets.
