'Ribcage' Is A Goosebump Inducing New Song From Plested

Introducing Plested and his memorable new song Ribcage. The twenty-five-year-old singer-songwriter originally started out as one half of the duo Chasing Grace but then he realised he wanted to write his own music.

And it’a good job he did as he ended up writing for artists such as Zayn Malik, Naughty Boy, Ray BLK, and Little Mix.

However, Plested missed being an artist so began writing for himself and has released the tracks Habits and Back Up Plan earlier this year.

His new single Ribcage features cascading melodies and expansive instrumentals with Plested’s bruised, cracked vocals soaring on top.

Despite the layers, the song still appears stripped back and intimate. It’s the kind of song that gives you goosebumps with its rawness.

Plested says, “‘Ribcage’ is a little idea I had to articulate the fact that I find falling in love so hard…It’s been 25 years of dating, ‘don’t-know-how-I-feels,’ and distancing because every time I get close, I automatically stop myself. Maybe all of our hearts are just caged up inside us, simply waiting for the right person to come set them free?”

Plested is currently working with some of the biggest producers and songwriters including Malay (Frank Ocean, Lorde) and Emily Warren (Dua Lipa) and has a debut solo album on the horizon.
