Resa Drops Vulnerable Single Dumb and Numb

Dumb and Numb is the title track on Theresa Frostad Eggesbø, aka Resa’s debut EP, Dumb and Numb. The song features a blend of slow, minimal ambient melody with soulful vocals that curl around you, tinged with vulnerability. The delicate instrumentals serve to accentuate the raw emotions that this track evokes. The lyrics, sung with a haunting vulnerability, speak of a pain that is all too familiar.

“I won’t follow your steps right now, ’cause I know it’s important for you,” the singer laments, their voice trembling with emotion. “But I will lay my hands and crawl upon your skin right now, ’cause I know it makes you feel something.”

It’s a powerful statement of sacrifice and longing. And yet, despite the heart-wrenching lyrics, there’s a certain beauty to this track. The way the vocals and instrumentals interweave is nothing short of mesmerising. You’ll find yourself getting lost in the waves of melancholy that wash over you, and you won’t want to come up for air.

“We have fucked it up again, so we might as well just do it again,” Resa continues, her voice growing more desperate with each repetition.

“And again and again and again, till we are numb as before.” It’s a raw admission of failure and a plea for understanding.

In short, this song will grab your attention and refuse to let go. Dumb and Numb is stunning music filled with vulnerability and raw emotion. It is worth checking out the EP Dumb and Numb, also, see our review of Sunday, the first track on Resa’s EP.
