On Both (Freestyle), Kwakzino is cooking with the right recipe, a sample of the Ultra Nate track, Free. And what he ends up with is a conscious and banging sound. With good mastery of his craft, he drops lyrical gems to inspire the youth. Both (Freestyle) has melancholic tones, reminiscent of drill tracks. However, it has a different edge to it with a positive message. Kwakzino uses cooking themes in his rap and music video as a positive metaphor for chasing his music dreams. It’s a relatable theme in the urban scene for youths. He takes the time to reference his past to add substance to the words he speaks as someone who has been about that life.

Unfortunately, a lot of youths get caught up on the wrong side of the law in the chase for success cooking something else. So kudos to Kwakzino with his message on Both (Freestyle), and I hope it cuts across loud and clear.
