Kaleidoscope Festival 2024: A Spectacular Day of Music, Comedy, and Family Fun at Alexandra Palace

The iconic Alexandra Palace will once again play host to the Kaleidoscope Festival on July 13th, 2024, promising an unparalleled immersion into the worlds of live music, DJ culture, and comedy.

Set against the stunning backdrop of panoramic London views and acres of lush parkland, this one-day extravaganza has become a staple on the UK festival circuit, annually drawing thousands of revellers seeking an unforgettable summer experience.

This year’s powerhouse lineup kicks off with a highly anticipated headline performance by the Ministry of Sound Classical ensemble on the Hilltop Stage.

This 30-piece orchestra will transport attendees on an audiovisual journey, reinterpreting legendary dance anthems by The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Faithless, and more through the lens of a full classical arrangement.

Backed by a mesmerising laser show, it’s sure to be an epic climax to the day’s festivities.

But the musical odyssey begins long before the headliners take the stage.

British soul legends Soul II Soul will bring the vibrance of the 80s UK renaissance to life with their soulful, funk-infused sound and classic hits like Keep On Movin’.

The eclectic indie party-starters The Go! Team will provide a joyful counterpoint, whipping the crowds into a frenzy with their genre-mashing sound collages of indie rock, rap, and more.

The wildly creative Antony Szmierek will showcase his artistic melding of poetry and hip-hop-influenced grooves, while Huey Morgan, former frontman of the iconic Fun Lovin’ Criminals, makes a soulful return backed by a full live band.

This diverse array of live acts sets the stage for a dizzying journey across the festival grounds.

Over at the Cloud 10 Stage, a rotating crew of world-renowned DJs will keep the dance floors ablaze from day to night.

The eclectic and eccentrically dressed Mr. Scruff will delight with his seamless blending of soul, funk, breakbeats, and more.

Erol Alkan, a lynchpin of the London club scene, will bring his decades of dancefloor experience.

The acclaimed duo X-Press 2 will revisit their peerless catalogue of club classics, and UK garage legend Artful Dodger will provide an unmistakable slice of nostalgic bliss.

For those seeking a break from the raucous music stages, the intimate Fringe Stage offers an outstanding comedy lineup to have audiences doubled over in laughter.

Simon Amstell, the renowned comedian, writer, and filmmaker, is sure to bring his fearless and introspective brand of humour.

The one and only Brian Blessed will regale us with uproarious stories from his legendary adventures.

Up-and-comers like Sophie Duker, Ahir Shah, and Chloe Petts will showcase their rapidly rising talents, while the blasphemous rock collective Oh My God! It’s The Church put a riotous spin on musical comedy.

The wildly popular Hip Hop Karaoke will also return, providing a judgement-free opportunity for attendees to live out their rap star dreams on stage.

As if the stacked lineup wasn’t enough, Kaleidoscope offers an immersive festival experience that extends far beyond the main stages.

A massive Family Area will provide a whimsical escape for kids and adults alike with pop-up circuses, theatre performances, and endless exploring to be done across the stunning Alexandra Palace grounds and historic buildings.

Now in its 5th year, Kaleidoscope has truly come into its own, simultaneously honouring the cultural legacy of Alexandra Palace as the “People’s Palace” while redefining what a modern festival experience can be.

With a relentless focus on curation and allowing the breathtaking venue to be the star, it’s an unmissable summer highlight.

Tickets are on sale now for what is sure to be Kaleidoscope’s biggest and most spectacular edition yet.
