Is Wanda Maximoff Actually Dead? The Agatha All Along Tease Has Fans Buzzing

Is Wanda Maximoff really dead? Agatha All Along teases her return, hinting the Scarlet Witch may not be gone for good. Rumours swirl about Wanda’s involvement in Avengers: Doomsday and her potential link to Doctor Doom. Fans speculate: could Marvel’s most powerful sorceress make a triumphant MCU comeback?

If you thought Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness wrapped up Wanda Maximoff’s story with a tidy little bow, then, well, welcome to Marvel, where characters never really stay dead—just mildly inconvenienced.

Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, went out with a bang (literally) after taking down the Darkhold and possibly herself along with it.

But is she really gone? Or is she about to do what all good MCU characters do: return, probably in a more dramatic fashion than before?

You might have thought Agatha All Along, the new spin-off featuring everyone’s favourite snarky witch, would give us some closure. Nope.

Instead, it’s taken great joy in simultaneously insisting that Wanda is both dead and very much alive—typical Marvel shenanigans.

In fact, the spectre of Wanda looms so large over Westview that even Agatha herself is getting suspicious.

She’s playing detective, questioning the nature of Wanda’s demise, and the whole thing reeks of an eventual “surprise, she’s back!” moment. But are we actually in for that grand return?

Is She Really Gone for Good?

Marvel’s never been shy about leaving the door open for characters to return, no matter how crushing their supposed death scene.

The last we saw of Wanda, she was caught under the collapsing walls of Mount Wundagore, glowing red and looking, well, very much done for.

But fans couldn’t help but notice that faint shimmer of scarlet energy as the debris fell—an unsubtle hint, perhaps? Marvel wouldn’t tease us like that… would they? (Cue knowing wink.)

The latest rumours swirling around Agatha All Along are that the show is littered with clues about Wanda’s return.

Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal even delivers the delightful line about Wanda being “really, most sincerely dead,” but does anyone believe that for a second? Agatha’s little wink to the camera suggests otherwise.

If we’ve learnt anything from Marvel, it’s to never trust a death scene unless there’s a body… and even then, don’t get too comfortable.

The Agatha All Along Tease

In Agatha All Along, our cheeky villain-turned-antihero is still stuck in Westview under Wanda’s original spell.

The series wastes no time hinting at Wanda’s potential return. Agatha’s interactions, particularly with Plaza’s character, are peppered with enough “is she, isn’t she?” energy to fuel months of fan theories.

There’s even an investigation plot, straight out of a police procedural, where a Jane Doe murder is revealed to be… drumroll, please… Wanda herself.

But, and here’s where things get even more layered, Agatha keeps second-guessing if Wanda is truly dead.

In one of the more playful scenes, Agatha asks, “You never know, right?” while cheekily breaking the fourth wall. Classic Marvel, making us question everything.

Will Wanda Be Back in the Avengers?

If the Agatha All Along hints weren’t enough to get your Wanda-sense tingling, then the rumours surrounding Avengers: Doomsday should.

Insider leaks, including from the ever-reliable MyTimeToShineHello, suggest that Wanda will return in a major way during the next Avengers installment.

Marvel’s clearly playing the long game with this one. Fans have been clamouring for Wanda’s return, and not just in a cameo role.

If these rumours are to be believed, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will be front and centre, leading a significant part of the Doomsday storyline.

After all, Wanda’s not just another Marvel character—she’s arguably one of the most powerful beings in the universe.

But don’t expect her return to be all sunshine and rainbows. After her descent into villainy and subsequent (supposed) death in Doctor Strange 2, Wanda’s likely coming back with some serious baggage.

Doctor Doom & Wanda: A Power Couple in the Making?

One of the more tantalising theories floating around is that Wanda’s return will be tied to none other than Doctor Doom. Yes, the big bad himself.

Several reports have linked her next storyline to the infamous villain, setting up what could be one of the most chaotic and electrifying pairings in MCU history.

Doctor Doom, known for his mastery of both science and sorcery, could play a crucial role in either resurrecting Wanda or unleashing her powers in new ways.

Fans have speculated that Doom may be looking to harness the full potential of the Scarlet Witch for his own nefarious purposes.

Or, perhaps more intriguingly, the two could team up for a common goal. Either way, it’s bound to be a wild ride.

Could Wanda Get Her Own Movie?

And now for the dream scenario—could we finally get a solo Scarlet Witch movie?

Fans have been calling for it since WandaVision, and it’s clear that there’s more to explore in Wanda’s arc.

Rumour has it that MCU creatives, including Jac Schaeffer, are pushing for a standalone film that would dive deep into Wanda’s complex character.

With her journey from villain to hero (and back again), plus the loss of her children and Vision, Wanda has one of the richest narratives in the MCU.

A solo movie could be the perfect redemption arc, giving Wanda the screen time and focus she deserves, without having to share the spotlight with the likes of Doctor Strange or Spider-Man. Come on, Marvel, give the people what they want!

So, Is Wanda Really Dead?

Let’s be real—Wanda Maximoff is probably as dead as Loki, which is to say, not dead at all.

Marvel loves a good fake-out, and everything from Agatha All Along to the Avengers: Doomsday rumours suggests that Wanda’s story is far from over.

Whether she’s coming back as a hero, a villain, or something in between, one thing’s certain: we haven’t seen the last of the Scarlet Witch.

Keep your popcorn ready, Marvel fans. Wanda’s about to make one hell of a comeback.
