I Used to Be Sam Unveils Captivating Single Gentle

I Used to Be Sam Unveils Captivating Single Gentle

Gentle by the artist I Used to Be Sam is a deeply emotional song that shines with literal and symbolic enchanting qualities. It’s no surprise considering the inspiration behind it.

The artist was formerly known as the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and recording artist Annie Goodchild. The discovery of her pre-adoptive name as Samantha and other heartfelt events led to adopting the name I Used to Be Sam.

Although it was an unpleasant experience, she found inspiration and strength to offer a kind hand to all those sharing the same fate.

I will hold you if you want and need
I will feed you all that is green cause
You are worthy, worthy of love
Sheltered you’ll be in my arms

It is one thing to be inspired, yet another to translate inspiration into a stunning and captivating piece. I Used to Be Sam fulfills all this with the warm and sultry vocals that flow on the ethereal sounds that shimmer with intense vulnerability.

The music video adds to the depth of the song, as it accentuates the theme flowing in unison with conflicting emotions fighting to see which one triumphs. It’s a powerful performance, and it heightens your senses to the haunting and atmospheric tones that I can only describe as transcending as it reaches a climax.

I Used to be Sam is a natural-born songwriter, and we are eagerly looking forward to her EP under the same name.
