The cold has set in and the central heating is wreaking havoc on your skin. It was only a few weeks ago we were sporting healthy, glowing faces due to the Indian heatwave, and I don’t know about you, I’m not just feeling run down and lacklustre but it’s showing through my skin too. So how do you get that glow back without caking on the makeup?

Firstly, with cleansed and moisturised skin I start with Rodial’s Instant Glow Primer. It smells of apricot and has beautiful light-reflecting particles that go smoothly onto the skin creating a stunning canvas for your makeup. Then I use a beauty blender or brush to buff in Nars Sheer Glow Foundation which has a medium, buildable texture and provides a gorgeous, glowing finish. Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter is a cult beauty product for a reason. It can be used in a myriad of ways; under foundation, over, as a highlighter or even on its on for a sheer base. I use mine over foundation to highlight the features I really want to shine. Using the sponge applicator just dab it on the top of your cheekbones and under your brow bone, and blend.

Your skin should be looking dewy and fresh-faced already but a little bronzer and blush will take it to another level. Benefit’s Hoola Matt Bronzer is another cult favourite – just sweep gently over the top of your forehead along your hairline, the top of your cheeks and down the bridge of your nose for that sunkissed glow. Finally, apply bareMinerals powder blush on the apples of your cheeks.

This is just a quick, simple way of achieving dewy, glowing skin even if your complexion is looking dull and tired. At this time of the year it’s not easy waking up feeling fresh faced and full of life and unfortunately that can show in our skin. So until the sun comes out again, fake it til you make it.
