Dylan Dunlap Shares New Acoustic Ballad Better Alone

Dylan Dunlap Shares New Acoustic Ballad Better Alone

Singer-songwriter Dylan Dunlap has shared a brand new single titled, Better Alone. The soulful ballad is the second single from his upcoming EP When You’re Feeling Blue. The delicate acoustic guitar and heartfelt vocals set the tone for a haunting melody that conveys the emotions of the poignant and introspective lyrics, with Dylan confessing, “I don’t wanna cause a scene But I don’t know where to start”.

The song beautifully captures the feeling of wanting to be alone to process the pain and confusion that comes with heartbreak. Dylan’s lyrics express the notion that sometimes it’s better to be alone than in a toxic relationship.

In the lyrics, Dunlap admits that he was fooled by affection and attention, leading him to fall into patterns that ultimately hurt him. However, he found strength in solitude and realized that it’s better to be in a good place before taking on the world again. The chorus echoes this sentiment, as Dunlap sings, “I’m better alone now, it’s better I don’t, better to slow down.”

Better Alone is a confluence of contrasting powerful emotions of vulnerability jostling for domination, but overall satisfying.
