A Striking Sensation & Compelling Voice From Hatty Keane

By Lucy LernerSeptember 29, 2017
Hatty Keane

Hatty KeaneHatty Keane is a striking sensation from Manchester. Her powerful vocals and impeccable style are the perfect foundations for pop success. Upon getting signed to BGM, Hatty toured with the likes of Tinchy Stryder, JLS, Rudimental, Ellie Goulding, and Ed Sheeran. Fast forward a few years and Hatty returns from time spent in studios in Sweden where she worked with producers and moulded a new sound which fuses dark pop influences with retro orchestras. Now she brings us her new single ‘Pointless’ (Shirley Bassey anyone?) which projects elegant yet commanding vocals. Hatty is transfixing against the theatrical percussion soundtrack and the cinematic sound is certainly memorable.

Speaking on the track, Hatty states: “‘Pointless’ was born by my worst fear – To live the run of the mill, mundane life we are expected to. ‘Pointless’ questions the norm, the ideals we have been taught to live by and believe in since we were children – did we really go the moon?”

‘Pointless’ has the motivational attitude which I think transcends through Hatty’s other work (even her videos are mesmerising) and I am sure we will be hearing more of her unique sound in the future.
