Dave's "The Boy Who Played the Harp": When Your Conscience Won't Let You Sleep

British rapper Dave returns to North America for his first headline tour in nearly four years, bringing The Boy Who Played the Harp to stages across the continent this spring.

The chart-topping artist kicks off his North American leg on 27 March in Seattle, travelling through Vancouver, Oakland, and Los Angeles before hitting Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta. The tour wraps up with two sold-out nights at Brooklyn’s Paramount on 30 April and 1 May.

Dave’s third studio album has already made history in the UK. The Boy Who Played the Harp became his third consecutive number one, making him the first British rapper to debut three albums at the top. The record moved 73,799 units in its opening week and set a new benchmark as the fastest-selling rap album on vinyl this century.

Critics have celebrated the album’s depth. NPR called it “breathtaking in both its clarity of thought and purpose,” whilst The Guardian awarded five stars, noting Dave’s status as “a stunningly skilled rapper.” The 10-track project features collaborations with James Blake, Tems, Kano, and Jim Legxacy.

Before crossing the Atlantic, Dave plays a 17-date European arena run starting 2 February in Munich. The UK leg sold out immediately, including four consecutive nights at London’s O2 Arena and shows in Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester.

Tickets for the North American tour go on general sale 12 December at 10am local time, with various pre-sales running from 9 December. Full tour information and ticket links are available through Dave’s official site.

The Streatham-born artist produces nine of the album’s 10 tracks, showcasing the musical maturity that’s earned him an Ivor Novello Award, Mercury Prize, and BRIT Award. His 2023 collaboration with Central Cee, “Sprinter,” broke records as the longest-running number one rap track in UK chart history.
