JID’s Sk8 music video review: Ciara & EARTHGANG on wheels

JID's Sk8 music video review: Ciara & EARTHGANG on wheels

JID’s “Sk8” music video is a love letter to Atlanta’s roller rink culture. Directed by Maya Table and released on October 7, 2025, the clip was shot across the city’s legendary skating spots, including Golden Glide and Cascade, and it feels like a postcard from the Peach State.

The camera glides through the rink like wheels on lacquered wood, keeping the energy kinetic and vibrant. Ciara slides in with elastic footwork, EARTHGANG trade grins and bars, and the parking-lot cuts keep things moving between rink passes. It’s high-energy performance without the high-concept detour, and that’s what makes it work.

The video also features special appearances from Atlanta legends and culture-shapers, including Kilo Ali, Jermaine Dupri, Bijan Robinson, Baby Kia, BunnaB, Jace, Key!, Swavay, Ben Reilly, Jasper, KP the Great, Queen Flip, and NuFace. Together, they bring Atlanta to the masses.

“Sk8” is the second visual from JID’s God Does Like Ugly, following “Community” with Clipse. The album features some of music’s biggest names, including Clipse, Ciara, Don Toliver, Ty Dolla $ign, Vince Staples, Westside Gunn, 6lack, Jessie Reyez, EARTHGANG, Mereba, and Baby Kia.

The video arrives ahead of JID’s recently announced God Does Like World Tour, which will see him play some of the biggest venues of his career as a headliner.

As a postcard from God Does Like Ugly, it’s an easy way in: keep the groove in front, keep the camera close, and let the wheels do the talking.
