Offset & Gunna drop the “Different Species” music video — slick, minimal, and album-core

Offset has rolled out the official video for “Different Species,” his Gunna link-up from the new album KIARI.
The clip is part of Offset’s late-August visual blitz, a run of conceptually consistent videos tied to every track, and it’s directed by SheShe Pendleton and Mikey Rare, the duo behind the album’s therapy-room visual universe.
The video has clean frames, lean set-ups, and lots of negative space that keeps the focus on cadence and posture rather than narrative bells and whistles.
It’s of a piece with the rest of the KIARI rollout: performance-forward, fashion-tight, and cut to the song’s unhurried glide. Watch it on Offset’s channel now.
“Different Species” appears on KIARI (released 22 Aug 2025) and pairs Offset’s staccato flexes with Gunna’s syrupy, melodic pockets.
Production is by X-Plosive, LnK, and Jester, with the mix leaving plenty of air for ad-libs and the hook’s rolling rhyme scheme.
Early chatter in hip-hop forums pegs this as a smooth standout that plays to both artists’ strengths, Offset crisp and percussive, Gunna in glide mode, and a natural single pick from the album’s middle stretch.
