VANDA Reveals The Raw Truth Of Adulting In New Single, Fairytale

Prepare to be moved by VANDA’s latest offering, Fairytale, the third single from her forthcoming debut album, Sober In Another Life. As with all good stories, this track unfolds an emotional narrative arc, but it’s one that’s surprisingly heavy for a song titled Fairytale. The release is a haunting, melodic exploration of the challenging transition from youthful dreams to the realities of adulthood.

VANDA’s voice is an emotional powerhouse in Fairytale. Coupled with heartfelt, honest lyrics, her soaring vocals harness an unmistakable rawness that serves to stir a poignant resonance within the listener. Her vocals command the spotlight amidst the sweeping cinematic sounds and live instrumentation, guiding us through a poignant journey of self-reflection.

Fairytale opens in the harsh landscape of a desert night, perhaps symbolic of the isolation and stark reality the song explores. “So hard to remember, last time that I felt this bad,” VANDA sings in the opening line, setting the stage for an introspective journey into disappointment and the sometimes harsh reality of dreams.

From wondering if she’s clinging to the person she once was or using her past as a crutch to contemplating if life has anything more to offer, the lyrics create an intense atmosphere. This isn’t your typical pop offering, nor your everyday ballad, but rather a contemplative exploration of life’s lows and the relentless push for something more.

The chorus, “So I keep keep on pushing ahead, Like I don’t feel feel this sad. Oh I Keep keep on hoping that, This is everything I ever, Wanted ever, wanted, The fairytale I had in my head,” beautifully encapsulates the feeling of trudging through life, hoping against all odds that it’ll be worth it in the end.

Fairytale is a poignant reminder that life doesn’t always pan out like the stories we dreamed up in our younger years, but VANDA’s rich vocals and evocative storytelling imbue this sobering reality with a captivating sense of beauty.

Whether you’re in need of a cathartic cry or simply seeking a deeply emotional listening experience, Fairytale is a profound exploration of human resilience and hope in the face of disappointment.
