Why Franklin Lake Is Tipped To Be The Next Big Thing

Tay Tay Starhz and Jude Read are the boys that make up the alternative-pop duo; Franklin Lake.

Franklin Lake is being tipped to be the next big thing in the alternative-pop industry. They have been working tirelessly on their latest track and coming of age EP which is due to be released on the 18th September 2020 and will be available to stream across all platforms.

The London based singer-songwriters have performed alongside the likes of Olly Murs, Ella Eyre, Paloma Faith, and Ed Sheeran, on some of the biggest stages in Europe, at some of the most well-known festivals and events, with more coming up in 2021. They have even had a number 9 in the Music Week Commercial Pop Chart with the song Supersonic, and they’re eagerly trying to get that number 1 with this new EP.

In the making of the EP, the boys recorded at the famous Abby Studios and worked with some of the best producers in the music industry.

The Taking Over EP which follows from their single The Tide, will be one of the 6 tracks to feature on their latest project. Stronger, Glad We Met, Taking Over and a rare acoustic version of Fighter will also feature on the EP.

Speaking to Neon Music, Jude Read said; “We want people to listen to our Music over, and over again,” when asked what they want people to take away from this EP.

When speaking about the inspiration behind Taking Over, TayTay Starhz said; “We have worked very hard to create timeless pop numbers rather than sticking to the same sounds that are already out there.”

Franklin Lake’s new EP Taking Over will be released on Friday 18th September 2020.
