WENDY (웬디) ‘Sunkiss’ MV — the bright, alt-pop lead from Cerulean Verge is out now

WENDY (웬디) ‘Sunkiss’ MV — the bright, alt-pop lead from Cerulean Verge is out now

WENDY has released the music video for “Sunkiss,” the title track of her third mini-album Cerulean Verge, out September 10 at 6 PM KST.

The six-song set (“Fireproof,” “Sunkiss,” “Existential Crisis,” “Hate²,” “Chapter You,” “Believe”) marks her first solo project since departing SM and signing with ASND; group activities with Red Velvet continue separately.

The song itself is framed as alternative pop: crisp piano, refreshing guitar riffs, and luminous vocals that ride an easy, sun-tinted groove.

That lighter palette pairs with the video’s “new light” motif; WENDY moving through open, glowing spaces rather than heavy narrative setups, so the whole package reads as a reset rather than a sequel.

Early listener chatter splits along two lines that can happily coexist: plenty of praise for how her vocal colour lifts a bright pop arrangement, and a smaller contingent wishing she’d leaned harder into R&B; both reads have been turning up in community threads since the MV landed.
