Waterparks Drop New Single ‘Any Minute Now’

Waterparks Drop New Single 'Any Minute Now'

Waterparks have released ‘Any Minute Now’, their latest single that tackles the messy reality of growing up and waiting for life to suddenly make sense.

The track arrives during their ongoing Prowler Tour, offering fans a different vibe from recent releases ‘Red Guitar’ and ‘If Lyrics Were Confidential’.

Frontman Awsten Knight explains the song addresses that endless cycle of thinking everything will click into place once you hit the next milestone.

“When you’re a kid, everything feels confusing but you think ‘when I’m older everything will make sense,'” he says. “Then you’re a teenager and you’re like ‘this is all bullshit, but everything will make sense when I’m an adult.’ Then you become an adult and you’re like ‘Fuck, I know to have even more questions now, things make even less sense.'”

The track captures something genuinely universal about the human experience – that constant expectation of clarity that never quite arrives.

Knight notes that while you might look to older people for guidance, the real comfort comes from realising you’re not as far behind as you think. Most people are just doing their best, one day at a time.

The vocals are vulnerable at times, yet aggressive at others, and the instrumental starts sparse then builds up with a mix of elements that mirror that emotional arc.

The song debuted during recent tour dates alongside another unreleased track ‘Prowler’, both set to feature on the band’s upcoming album.

Some listeners reckon it echoes the band’s ‘Entertainment’ era sound – not quite nostalgic, but comfortably familiar in a way that feels intentional.

The Houston trio recently won the 2025 Rock Sound Spirit Of The Scene Award, and they’re currently midway through their North American tour with support from iDKHOW, Chloe Moriondo, and others.

Produced by Awsten Knight and Zakk Cervini, ‘Any Minute Now’ feels raw and honest; it’s Knight at his most direct, channeling that shared frustration of perpetually waiting for adulthood to feel less chaotic than adolescence did.
