Vibe To The Debut Single Runaway From Sam Cuervo Ft Ray Storme

Vibe To The Debut Single Runaway From Sam Cuervo Ft Ray Storme

Ray Storme joins forces with Sam Cuervo on his debut single Runaway. And what you have is an eclectic dose of classic and modern sounds. The atmospheric production on Runaway is lush, with both artists taking a turn to shine. Storme provides the infectious hook with smooth vocals, while Cuervo drops catchy rhymes adding to the overall vibe on the track.

Sam Cuervo described the meaning behind his debut single Runaway to Neon Music. He explained that being a native of San Francisco, “the city has been gentrified by the tech industry, and that’s been happening for some years now. So it can get tense sometimes when you come across transplants.” He continued, “A lot of times you get the feeling they don’t respect the city or the culture and it’s like it’s not even subtle. Whenever I date someone who works in tech it can feel a bit weird, almost like I’m fraternizing with the enemy, you know? So I wanted to try and capture that disconnect in the song. So people who don’t live anywhere near here, whether that’s Cali or even outside the US, can get some idea what it’s like.“

Runaway is from Sam Cuervo’s upcoming debut album.
