MEOVV (미야오) BURNING UP MV Review

By Marcus AdetolaOctober 17, 2025
MEOVV (미야오) BURNING UP MV Review

MEOVV’s “BURNING UP” music video opens with a clear blue sky. Sunlight spreads across the shot. Then it cuts to MEOVV outside a shop.

The beat slams in and the choreography locks to it immediately. A thermometer flashes onscreen. Sharp choreography meets thumping beats. The video’s blueprint in ten seconds.

This track dropped 14 October 2025 under The Black Label as their fourth digital single. It follows their debut EP My Eyes Open VVide.

“BURNING UP” was written by Gawon, Narin, Teddy, Malachiii, Teal Douville, 24, Zikai, Vince, Lento, Billy Walsh, and Jesse Bluu. Teddy, Malachiii, Teal Douville, and 24 produced the track.

The vocals are crisp on the Jersey club type beat with an intensity that matches the lyrical push to lose yourself in the flame. “Don’t you hesitate, run to you even if I lose my breath” and “Let it burn… come take me up higher”

You hear tight kicks, snap percussion fills, pulses of synth that rise and fade. Even where transitions shift quickly, the beat maintains a momentum that never moves out of place.

MEOVV move between singing and rap. That contrast adds texture. The chorus: “Got me burning / Got me burning up / Tell the DJ, turn it / Turn it, turn it up … Can you make my body work? Make it (Hah-hah-hah-hah)” becomes infectious. The rap blasts sharpen edges, complementing the melodic parts.

Visually, the video feels high end. They shift settings fluidly: storefront, light distortions, flare visuals, bursts of fire. The choreography stays sharp with the interplay between open frames and tight close-ups reinforcing desire.

A few shots flash past too quickly. In the rush between rap, melody, and dance breaks, there’s barely enough time to settle on a gesture, a face, a beat. That fleetingness could be perceived as a flaw in what otherwise is a dope video.

Still, MEOVV deliver. The heat comes through: desire, urgency, fire, but nothing falls apart. The melody holds, the choreography stays tight, the visuals keep their form even as everything burns underneath.

Perhaps holding the shots a tad bit longer so none of that fire slips past. Even so, MEOVV know how to light the match.
