LA Producer Ferris Pier’s ‘Lift Me Up’ is quite simply uplifting, and would remain so even if it was an instrumental piece. It delivers one hell-of-a synth hook, one which is very reminiscent of Swedish House Mafia’s sound, and one which really stands out. However, let’s not forget the pitch-perfect Pop vocals of Abby Cates, who fuses the styles of Ariana Grande and Zara Larsson effortlessly.

Overall, ‘Lift Me Up’ is one of best Dance tracks of 2019 because it takes you on a musical journey. From the dramatic, string arrangement at the beginning to the breathy, synth production which throws us back to Alexis Jordan’s hit single ‘Happiness,’ as well as an electro-pop build-up not too dissimilar to the production of Ariana Grande and The Weeknds 2014 single ‘Love Me Harder.’

It is evident, when listening to such masterful production, that Ferris Pier wants to bring EDM to the Orchestra, as well as still aspiring to appeal to mainstream radio with the use of Dance Pop and R&B tempos on ‘Lift Me Up.’ And if all this masterful music production was not enough, Pier throws a stunningly performed piano part into the Middle 8 section just finish things off nicely. Ferris Pier has obviously been enjoying the LA sun way too much to be delivering beautifully crafted pieces of synth music like this.
