Have A Stylish Christmas At Home
The lead up to Christmas, apart from the actual day, is probably the most exciting time for me. The crisp cold air brought from the changing of seasons, last-minute shopping, exchanging presents with loved ones, Christmas films, the streets being brought alive by the warmth of Christmas lights and the excuse to eat chocolate every day for the simple reason of, well, it’s Christmas! That being said, my most favourite pastime is, of course, the planning of outfits for the dinners, work parties and the big day itself.
It seems this time of year brings the magic of self-confidence along with it because everyone’s style becomes more adventurous. Whether that’s trying a new bold colour you wouldn’t typically wear, adding some sparkle to accessorize, or even going all out there with a big festive jumper. It truly is a fantastic time of year!
I think we can all agree that Christmas this year is not the one we expected, or even hoped for, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t strive to make it fun and experiment with different fashion trends to make us feel good. We will just be at home, but don’t let that stop you. Here are some fashion ideas for this festive season.
Preparing for lots of Zoom catch-ups and virtual quizzes with family and friends? Why not impress with a Christmas style jumper! It’s such an easy way to show you’re in the Christmas spirit without actually having to change out of your pyjama bottoms.
Planning on dressing up for the runway that is the living room? More power to you. Flared trousers have been all the rage this year, so why not go for a pair that sparkle! You can also never go wrong with a dress if you’re feeling fancy. You could even pair it with wearing a
long-sleeved top underneath to make it a more Winter friendly outfit.
All about the comfort? No problem. Throughout this year, we have seen more loungewear than ever dominating the fashion scene, so why not keep it casual and cosy this Christmas.
Many brands have picked up on this trend so take a look on the web, as there is an abundance of variations in style, materials and colours.
Jewellery can be a great way to jazz up a simple outfit, so why not treat yourself to some new pieces this season. These can be Christmas related, or perhaps something that could be worn all year round so you can get the most out of your purchase. This would be a great opportunity to support small businesses that make handmade pieces too! There are many talented jewellery creators on the platform Etsy and Instagram.
Christmas this year will certainly be different, but we can still make it a stylish one. Merry Christmas from all of us at Neon Music and here’s to a brighter New Year.
