GloRilla Heats Up Summer with TGIF Video and BET Awards Nominations

Memphis rapper GloRilla is turning up the temperature this summer with the release of her highly anticipated video for “TGIF.”

The visual, directed by Jerry Morka and Diesel, showcases the Grammy-nominated artist in her element, bringing the party to life with infectious energy and undeniable charisma.

The video features GloRilla and her crew living it up on a tour bus and hitting the beach, perfectly capturing the carefree summer vibe of the track.

“TGIF” has been building buzz since GloRilla first teased it on social media, with fans eagerly awaiting its official release.

The catchy hook, “It’s 7 pm Friday, it’s 95 degrees…I ain’t got no n—a and no n—a ain’t got me,” has already become a fan- favourite during her performances on Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour.

Speaking of chart-toppers, GloRilla’s recent collaboration “Wanna Be (Remix)” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B has solidified her status as one of hip-hop’s most exciting new voices.

The star-studded remix, which debuted with a show-stopping performance at Madison Square Garden, has propelled the track back into the Billboard Hot 100’s top 15.

As if dominating the charts wasn’t enough, GloRilla is set to take centre stage at the 2024 BET Awards this Sunday.

The rising star has earned two nominations: Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and BET HER for “Yeah Glo!”

It’s a fitting recognition for an artist whose 12-track project “Ehhthang Ehhthang” has been making waves with collaborations featuring industry heavyweights like MoneyBagg Yo and the aforementioned Megan Thee Stallion.

With her unique style, undeniable talent, and a string of hits under her belt, GloRilla is proving why she’s at the forefront of rap’s new generation.

As she wraps up the domestic leg of the Hot Girl Summer Tour and prepares for her BET Awards performance, it’s clear that GloRilla’s summer dominance is far from over.

Keep your eyes (and ears) on this Memphis native; she’s just getting started.
