Exciting News From Foals With Two Album & UK Tour Announcement

Foals are back! Their return has been met with much excitement and, to celebrate, they are releasing two albums and have also announced a UK tour.

The tour will take place in June and includes a date at Alexandra Palace, which is a huge leap from the chaotic house parties the band would often play early in their careers.

Foals – Jimmy Smith (guitar), Jack Bevan (drums) and Edwin Congreave (keys) have gained critical acclaim for their work as well as genuine fan admiration.

‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost-Part 1’ will be released in March. The lead single from this album is ‘Exits’, which carries their signature, infectious sound but has darker themes about the world we live in today. “There’s a definite idea about the world being no longer habitable in the way that it was,” says frontman Yannis Philippakis. “A kind of perilousness lack of predictability and a feeling of being overwhelmed by the magnitudes of the problems we face. What’s the response? And what’s the purpose of any response that one individual can have?”

‘Part 2’ (of the album) is planned for release in autumn. “They’re two halves of the same locket,” Yannis explains. “They can be listened to and appreciated individually, but fundamentally, they are companion pieces.”

Founding bassist Walter Gervers departed on amicable terms after playing the Festival Paredes de Coura in Portugal in August 2017 and the other members decided he couldn’t be replaced so this was a time for recalibration, reorganisation and, ultimately, rejuvenation.
