Dan Onkar’s Feel Alive is that irresistible track you can’t help but have on repeat.

It’s one of those songs that hooks you right from the start.

First time through, it was all about that bass line. Seriously, it’s ridiculous.

I dare you to listen to this track and not start nodding your head.

The beat is infectious, blending afrobeats and highlife in a way that had me googling flights to Lagos.

But it was Dan Onkar’s lyrics that really got me hooked. He’s not trying to paint some perfect picture here.

Instead, he’s laying it all out—the good, the bad, and the messy in-between.

There’s a line where he admits to giving his girl “the worst of me,” and man, that hit home. Who hasn’t been there?

The chorus, though? Pure earworm material. I caught myself humming “Give me the love, give me the light” while with friends. Got some weird looks, but whatever. It’s worth it.

What really struck me was how Onkar balances vulnerability with confidence.

One minute he’s talking about “working through a phase,” and the next he’s declaring himself “God’s favourite.” It’s not cocky, though.

It feels more like… I don’t know, a reminder to himself that he’s got this, no matter what life throws at him.

And that’s the beauty of “Feel Alive.” It’s not just a party track (though it’s definitely that too).

It’s a celebration of life in all its messy glory. Good days, bad days, and everything in between—Onkar’s here for all of it, and he’s inviting us along for the ride.

So yeah, give “Feel Alive” a listen. Or ten. Just don’t blame me if you end up dancing in your kitchen at 2 a.m. Trust me, been there, done that.

Give me something that I could feel
Let me feel alive

Working through a phase
Finding peace in expensive things
My girl got the worst of me
Losing sight of essential things
I make it for the ones that didn’t
Boujee girls
Boujee banton
Cry when you get home
Right now get your vibe on
You’ll be mad if you don’t

If I got it then you got it
know I’ll spend it
It aint trickin if you put on for your main thing
If you feeding on my peace it’s excessive
Its so expensive
Then you expensive

If you got me then you got it
So electric
Girl i’m really stacking up
On my tetris
You’re like mice to these honeys where your mens is
Oh where your mens is
Oh where your mens is

Give me the love
Give me the light
Give me something that I could feel
Let me feel alive

Verse 2:
So How can I lose
That’s all I can say
If you knew my story
You know that I’m God’s favourite
Coast to coast
Emi nikan ni won npe
Straight to the money
Or I’ll rather not play
I knew I’d be someone one day
You can be somebody one day
Chasing the dream to stay sane
Me and bredrins are all great

Chorus:
Give me the love
Give me the light
Give me something that I could feel
Let me feel alive
Give me the love
Give me the light
Give me something that I could feel
Let me feel alive
