Shane Guerrette Releases ‘Nomadic Soul’ As A Preview To Self-Titled EP
Shane Guerrette is a new exciting talent based in New York. Having smashed the YouTube scene, receiving millions of views, he is now set to release his debut self-titled EP on September 7th which is produced by Bob Cuteralla (Erc Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck.)
I am a big believer in perfecting song orders for EPs and albums and ‘Nomadic Soul’ is an incredible opener. The intro really shows off the bluesy style of guitar which is a big part of the whole EP. There is a distinct lack of bluesy/acoustic rock within the mainstream at present, but I cannot see how anyone could dislike ‘Nomadic Soul’. Guerrette’s voice has a rough and husky tone, which adds another layer to the already impressive opening single.
Each song of the EP, although showcasing Guerrette’s typical bluesy vibe, has a slightly different tone. ‘Ivory and Gold’ has a slight middle eastern vibe with a nice addition of a strings section, whilst ‘Runaway Blues’ and ‘Good Times’ show off some slower but heavier bluesy rock.
This EP shows exactly why Shane Guerrette was so popular on YouTube and I expect him to receive the same praise when his music is released onto streaming platforms.
