AyHay – Don’t Hit My Line

By Lucy LernerJuly 17, 2020
Video Premiere: AyHay - Don't Hit My Line

“Don’t hit my line when I blow”

Surrounded by dilapidated London phone booths, South West London artist AyHay raps about rising through the ranks of fame in his new music video Don’t Hit My Line. People didn’t want to know at the beginning of his career when he was struggling, so he’s adamant they shouldn’t hit his line when he blows.

Shot in a storage yard in London and directed by Jaden Sepulveda the visuals are a great representation of the song and are simple enough to let AyHay’s slick flows shine through without detracting attention from the point he’s making. The set up of the visuals characterizes a naked feel of what it is to ascend in the rap hierarchy.

Don’t Hit My Line is taken off AyHay’s debut album Wait. He favours dynamic and ominous-sounding trap beats with raw, witty wordplay which reflects his grandiose personality.

AyHay is a fresh UK rapper bursting onto the scene and we love it. Just don’t hit his line.
