Valories’ All or Nothing Is A Sonic Journey Through Heartbreak

VValories' All or Nothing Is A Sonic Journey Through Heartbreak

Valories, the indie singer/songwriter from the US, takes us on a sonic journey through heartbreak with her track All or Nothing. This song doesn’t hold back from expressing the raw, manic energy that often accompanies a breakup. Instead, it plunges into the emotional chaos, immersing listeners in a whirlwind of feelings. Crafted by the talented duo Riley Buck and Ben Roberson, the song offers an unfiltered perspective on the struggles of moving on, battling inner demons, and the bitter pill of seeing an ex-partner move on.

The production, masterfully directed by Rye5, plays a pivotal role in the narrative of the track. It’s not merely a canvas for Valories’ vocals but an integral part of the storytelling. The electro-pop elements weave an atmospheric, dreamy soundscape that reflects the emotional upheaval depicted in the lyrics. The experimental nature of the track pushes the envelope of Valories’ usual style, yet it remains true to her artistic essence.

The lyrics of All or Nothing delve deep into heartache. The verses and pre-chorus sketch a scene of longing and regret, with lines like “Chase the wind now / Was it worth it all?” and “You said all or nothing / All or nothing.” The chorus is a potent confession of self-inflicted pain and the struggle of moving forward, with Valories voicing, “Heartsick I did this to myself / Held hostage / Prison to my mess / I’m helpless / Left fighting the voices in my head / The more I move on.”

All or Nothing is the standout title track of Valories’ debut EP.
