townsend Releases The Emotive Another Life

Nashville has a new, Country-esque music artist, which the world has to pay attention to, after listening to his new single Another Life. Introducing Acoustic Pop singer townsend who delivers a similar, deep, and smooth tone in the beautifully composed verse sections. This captivating vocalist delves into the realm of Ryan Cabrera when reaching his higher register.

As for the opening guitar riff, all you 80’s kids will be thrown back to the effortless arpeggio performed by critically acclaimed songwriter Suzanne Vega, performed on Vega’s Folk classic Cracking.

What is also impressive about Another Life is the minimalism and simplicity of its breathtaking production. We are relaxed by townsend’s soft and tenders vocals during the verses, and the atmospheric reverb in the chorus sections, as well as its build-up from the middle 8 section to its colourful finale. townsend has such a laid-back yet pitch-perfect voice which soars over his emotive acoustic music.

It would be no surprise if townsend went into the same musical direction as Alternative and Indie Pop bands like The Fray. Despite Another Life’s bittersweet undertone, townsend explains that his new single is a thank you to an ex for the experience they shared together.
