SAILORR Claims Vevo DSCVR 2026 Spot

By Alex HarrisDecember 9, 2025

Jacksonville’s finest got her flowers. Vevo just named SAILORR to its 2026 DSCVR Artists to Watch lineup, and the Vietnamese-American singer delivered two custom performances that show exactly why Karina Alvarez called her “Florida’s finest.”

The Alt-R&B/Dreampop artist performed “SINCERITY” and “BELLY” for the platform’s twelfth annual campaign, which spotlights global talent poised to break through mainstream barriers.

This year’s class spans nineteen artists from Miami to Madrid, each receiving promotional support, playlist placements, and editorial features designed to catapult careers forward.

SAILORR’s rise reads like a Florida fever dream. Ten years old when she and her sister moved out, she watched her older sibling put herself through dental school while juggling odd jobs (florist, bartender, eyelash technician) to fund her music.

“Pookie’s Requiem” changed everything. The breakup anthem, inspired by Requiem for a Dream, caught fire in late 2024 and landed her a deal with Bu Thiam’s BuVision.

Summer Walker jumped on the remix. Justin Bieber posted it. The track peaked at number eight on Bubbling Under Hot 100.

Her debut mixtape From Florida’s Finest dropped May 2025, earning a spot on Billboard’s 50 Best Albums of 2025 So Far list.

The project blends vulnerability with sharp wit, touching on everything from refusing to shave for unworthy partners to navigating soft girl summers. It feels like a road trip up Florida’s coast: humid, honest, occasionally messy.

Vevo’s DSCVR program carries serious weight. Past alumni include Sam Smith, Billie Eilish, Raye, Ice Spice, and Chappell Roan (artists who used the platform as a launchpad before dominating charts and festivals).

JP Evangelista, Vevo’s SVP of Content, Programming & Marketing, praised this year’s class for representing diverse scenes and cultures, from Ireland to Puerto Rico.

SAILORR often wears black grills as a nod to nhuộm răng đen, a Vietnamese teeth-blackening tradition. During a Genius performance, she donned an ao dai to celebrate her heritage and success. She moved to Los Angeles in January 2025, trading Jacksonville for studio sessions and creative freedom.

The Boost Mobile-sponsored campaign launched November 12, with each artist delivering two exclusive performances.

SAILORR joins Aaron Rowe, Alessi Rose, kwn, and fifteen others in a cohort that reflects where R&B and alternative music are heading. Watch her performances on Vevo now.
